ANOTHER NEW BOOK
DEAD EAST STATISTICS FOR GRAVEMARKER RESEARCH
This book is written for anyone interested in how statistics can help develop the potential of the gravemarker as an important and accessible artefact in the study of material culture. It is hoped that it will encourage the reader to go beyond the simple recording and tabulation of information and explore what these fascinating artefacts can tell us.
The title of the book, ‘Dead Easy Statistics for Gravemarker Research’, implies that the methods described are relatively simple to understand and easy to apply. However, this does not mean that the statistical procedures are basic. Indeed, in addition to several multivariate methods, some, such as geometric morphometrics, are very advanced and powerful analytical tools.
